This nest was in a beautiful rose arbor in a clients garden this week. We watched the mom robin feed the 2 babies periodically all day. It was sweet!

mantis babies
This happened in my garden this very night!! There are about 100 tiny praying mantis’ all over the case and the plants below and the branches the case is stuck to! I can’t wait to check all the other cases around my garden over the next few days, I have about 8 or 9……I’m lucky! These guys are great beneficial insects, they eat aphids and other pests and they are so funky looking!

Springtime is the time for warm weather to return. We are excited to get out there and do some spring clean-ups and start tending gardens. It is so nice to have the days get longer and the earth start to turn green.
